Comfy, throw-on outfit on a lazy Sunday

This photo was taken on Sunday in the Cotswolds. It was a delightfully warm day and after a family lunch in the garden we decided to make most of the Spring weather and go for a walk. My go-to casual item right now is mom jeans. The style has been around for a while and it’s not going anywhere. The relaxed fit is the ultimate comfort when it comes to jeans, and the original blue denim is a great way to inject some colour into your wardrobe for the Spring, especially if you’re like me and live in black jeans. Mom jeans are very versatile too, and can be paired with tees, jumpers (let’s be honest, it’s only April), shirts, or crops like I did. They can also be dressed up by wearing with a heel, just look to Kourtney Kardashian, Gigi Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski who are pros at this look. Expect to see a lot more of these jeans in my future posts.

Because it was a spur of the moment decision to go for a walk, my outfit was very simple and thrown-on, but I thought I would take some pictures anyway. The top I have had for a couple of years and my jeans are vintage, given to me by my mum who originally had them in the 80s (thanks mum!). So nothing glamorous or new. I often forget about old items of clothing, but this just shows how you can create new outfits without actually buying anything new.

Having said that, the trainers I am wearing are actually new. I love the grey suedette material and low top, but the best part was the price at only £19.99! I usually go for trainer brands like Converse, Nike and Vans, but buying your trainers from general fashion stores can be just as effective.

Top – Primark
